Finding a Cart

Yes, part of the rules for this race include finding a cart that is lost
then entering and participating in this race
before returning the cart home to it's family and friends.

We know this may be tough for some. We thought we would post a few pictures of
how to find a cart, and how NOT to find a cart.

Below is a LOST CART!

This is NOT a lost cart...in fact this is the wrong kind of cart all together!

If you cannot find a lost cart, go to your local store and ASK them if you can borrow one. If you explain what you are doing, they just might let you use one! (Some stores have cart graveyards...true! They are the wobbly and rusty carts. If you're willing to do some maintenance I'll bet they would let you borrow one!)

Please be kind to our neighborhood stores....they aren't really sure yet what you're planning on doing with their cart and they REALLY want it back!

NOTE: Contrary to the "cart checks" that happened last year (you all waited in line to get your cart checked by people who did it as sabotage? Priceless!!) there are not specific size wheels that are required and you do not have to have a certificate for your cart to finish the event. We applaud the team that thought up that excellent delay tactic!
